Norma Lindfors
Kings Point resident Norma Lindfors has lived here for more than nine years and has loved every minute of it. So, what does she like best about living here? Everything! The people she meets at our clubs are fantastic. In fact, she met her long-time sweetheart right in her neighborhood. From her sunny days by the pool to playing bridge with her friends to lounging by her courtyard garden at home, Norma makes the most out of all that is offered at Sun City Center.

Mike & Cathy Lauro
When Renaissance residents Mike and Cathy Lauro moved here from New Jersey, all Cathy wanted was a home with palm trees in front. When she and her husband moved to Sun City Center, they got that and much more. Typical days are a thing of the past. Between the art classes, fashion shows, working out, swimming, pool parties and Club Renaissance dances, not to mention golf, there isn’t much time for anything else. As full-time residents, they are able to enjoy the year-round activities offered both in their community, as well as the surrounding Tampa Bay/Sarasota area. Living so close to Tampa International Airport was very important since Mike flies out on a weekly basis and they both enjoy exploring new and unique attractions throughout the west coast of Florida.

Mike & Ann Cassano
Mike and Ann Cassano weren’t even planning on moving from their home in Pennsylvania when they came to visit their friends at Sun City Center. They left from their visit feeling like they belonged here, so they made reservations to visit us again on our Preferred Guest Getaway. They started meeting people their first visit down when they were touring the model homes. From the community meetings to the Sun City Center bus trips to the neighborhood get-togethers, they had an easy time meeting great people to share their time with. Mike has just taken up playing golf and Ann keeps busy with the Ladies’ Luncheons at the Club. There’s always something to do here!

Abby Habberfield
"The casual elegance of Sun City Center is remarkable."
Abby Habberfield relocated from Marco Island to Sun City Center almost one year ago. As a full-time resident, she enjoys the local shopping in the area from Brandon and Tampa to Bradenton and Sarasota, playing bridge with her new friends and, her favorite activity, swimming. It was the indoor heated pools offered here at Sun City Center that helped her make her decision to move here. Abby loves the upscale feeling of her community and open, casual feel her villa home offers. What’s the best thing about living here? The great neighbors who are all so friendly…and young! This isn’t the age-restricted type of community from days past.

Marvin & Pat Anderson
"Retirement isn't as quiet as I'd thought it would be!"
Marvin and Pat Anderson came to Sun City Center from another WCI community, Walden Lake. They both loved their home and the area, but were looking for an environment that better suited them. Looking for a place with plenty of golf, lots of activities, maintenance-free lawn all within an active-adult community brought them to Sun City Center. Marvin, who has played golf since his youth, has a weekly golfing partner now that Pat has recently taken up playing. Scepter is their favorite course but all offer a uniqueness to them. When time doesn't allow for a long round of golf, due to the watercolor classes, fitness classes, luncheons and visiting with near-by family, they have fun zipping through our executive course. These two are enjoying the busy retirement life that they've chosen.

Erv & Julie Baker
"There's just not enough time in the day to do everything!"
Erv and Julie Baker have been living in Sun City Center for almost two years now and they still have a list of items on their to-do list. Between Erv's woodworking classes and golf league and Julie's computer classes and tennis, time together on their boat, neighborhood pot-luck dinners and elegant dinners at Amici's, there just isn't time left for them to do much else. Moving here from Connecticut they are enjoying the open space that their home provides, the maintenance-free yard and the tranquil views of the Renaissance Golf Course in their back yard.

Harry & Shirley McMahon
Harry and Shirley McMahon joined us from Connecticut. They came to Sun City Center as renters first to see if they would like the community, when they discovered that this was the place for them they purchased one of our villas. Once they decided to become full-time residents here, they purchased a larger home to spend their time in. Shirley was the president of the New England Club for eight years and they now spend their days golfing, dancing (they both belong to the Ballroom Dance Club), shopping and visiting Siesta Key in Sarasota, their favorite beach. Since moving here, they took full advantage of the concept of "choosing their neighbors." They’ve brought nine other families down here. They are both true Sun City Center ambassadors.
